We strive to ensure that all of our diamonds are conflict free.
Our diamonds are sourced from reputable suppliers who work in compliance with the United Nations backed Kimberley Process Certification Scheme (KPCS) - 1st January 2003. For those diamonds mined before 1st January 2003 our sellers guarantee that they have not knowingly provided us with conflict diamonds and have taken necessary measures to ensure us that the diamonds they supply to us are free from conflict.
As a member of the British Jewellers Association (BJA) we are bound by a code of ethics which require us to seek warranty as to the provenance of our diamonds from suppliers. This warranty is our assurance that steps are being taken to eliminate any diamonds that cannot be proven to have come from a regulated source.
The BJA is also working with the Council for Responsible Jewellery Practices to create a framework of agreed ethical standards relating to environmental and social impacts as well as business ethics, against which firms will be able to self assess their performance and then undergo a system of continuous improvement supported by third party monitoring.
We are also supporters of Stop Blood Diamonds, an organisation working towards stopping the exploitation of the diamond trade by human rights abusers.
